When I finished my run tonight I got ready for a shower. I missed you before and after. Watching a man from across the street run his hand through the hair of a mannequin.
We used to laugh and say that the forest waved when the wind would run and the rain came down my windowpane, but now it's not the same. Things have changed. Never again.
"Time. In another life we'd be together, but not this one."
"Why in another life? Wait, stay another day."
Wandering. Something inside me. This I see. I think I'm a nomad.
The need to leave won't leave me alone and it comes out at the worst times. I'm sorry.
I'm gonna see you again someday, but I'm not sure I'll know what time, alright?
Sometimes I feel like I'm sleeping on sheets of skin. No eyes to meet mine, and no heart to give in.
